Greg Johnston is a Seattle-area native, lifelong outdoors nut, and journalist who has worked as a reporter for The Associated Press, The Daily World, and Seattle Post-Intelligencer newspapers and AOL's Patch Media Corp, and now works as a parks specialist for King County Park and Rec.

He lives in Kirkland with his wife and has three grown children--a sergeant in the U.S. Army infantry, a tattoo artist, and a teamster--as well as three grandchildren.
