Emma Howell was born in Portland, Oregon, and died in 2001, at the age of twenty. She lived in Spain and Brazil and traveled widely in the world at large, forming many fast friendships with people of all ages, races, and creeds. À propos de l'auteur

Emma Howell died in 2001 at the age of 20. In her short, extraordinary life she had studied Latin, Greek, and Russian; was fluent in Spanish and Portuguese; and could get by in French and Italian. Se lived in both Spain and Brazil, as well as in her native Oregon, and traveled widely in the world at large. She left behind a body of poetry bright with darkness and joy.
