She has worked with several nonprofits in New York, including the Long Island Fund for Women and Girls, the Fair Media Council, and the Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) at both Stony Brook University and Farmingdale State College. Ms. Genn is the recipient of a Media Award from the New York State Association for Retarded Children.
