A second Harriet Bean book from Alexander McCall Smith, for young readers and the inner child in us all.
In the second book, Harriet Bean and the League of Cheats, Harriet is invited to help her two mind-reading detective aunts, Thessalonika and Japonica, investi-gate serious cheating in the world of horse racing. Cunningly disguised by Aunt Thessalonika as a jockey, 9-year-old Harriet works to uncover the dastardly deeds of the unscrupulous League of Cheats. But dealing with Charlie Heat, the slippery president of the League of Cheats, can be tricky . . . will Harriet be up to the challenge?
