Synopsis

"Banjo Camp" offers a full-blown beginning programme in both bluegrass and old-time banjo, along with advanced workshops by banjo superheroes like Pete Seeger, Tony Trischka, Janet Davis, Bill Keith, Brad Leftwich, David Holt, Geoff Hohwald and dozens of others. Plus, there are plenty of interviews with the masters, as well as entertaining banjo history. There's simply no other book like it: it's beautifully written by an experienced banjo camper and has an appealing country-style design that captures this special musical world. And if all this doesn't get the reader reaching for their pick - there's also a great CD featuring some truly fine musicians, too. Strum along with David Holt or jam with Bobby and the Bluegrass Tradition. New banjo players, more experienced musicians and anyone interested in the banjo will love this book.
