Millie L. McGhee-Morris, an educator and inspired entrepreneur with a remarkable success story, is committed to preserving the heritage of her family. She was born and raised in abject poverty in the government projects of McComb, Mississippi. Upon graduation from high school, she traveled to California to attend college, with hopes of becoming a writer. Unfortunately, before her plans could be fulfilled, she learned that she was essentially illiterate. Undeterred, she was committed to re-educate herself, a process that took years. After spending ten years in genealogical research, she found traces of her family all across the country, which lead to her writing, "Drifted Back in Time" Millie is the author of five books. She lives with her husband in Maryland and has started mentoring a writers group called New Writers in Action. She has also adopted a middle school in Edgewood, Maryland, encouraging students to embrace the world of books. "If you can read, you can do anything" is her motto.
