John S. Glasby was the first British author to transcribe H. P. Lovecraft's visions of cosmic horror sent to him in dreams by Great Cthulhu. Glasby produced enough material dealing with the Cthulhu Mythos to fill several collections, of which this is the second to be issued by Dancing Tuatara Press.

John Stephen Glasby (1928-2011) started his career as a research chemist for I.C.I. in 1952 and worked there until his retirement. Always a great fan of the work of H. P. Lovecraft, in the late 1960s he submitted a collection of Mythos stories to August Derlerth at Arkham House. Derleth requested some minor revisions in early 1971, which Glasby agreed to, but Derleth’s sudden death derailed the project. Fortunately, some of the stories later appeared in specialty press publications such as the venerable Crypt of Cthulhu and Marvin Kaye’s newest incarnation of Weird Tales. Dancing Tuatara Press plans to continue the revival of Glasby’s Mythos tales, including the first-ever publication of hitherto lost manuscripts.
