À propos de l?auteur

John Bunyan (1628-1688) was an English writer and preacher. He was often persecuted for his Christian faith during England's Anglican rule and was serving time in prison when he began writing his most famous work, The Pilgrim's Progress. George, Frederick, and Louis Rhead, talented sons of a noted family of Staffordshire potters, each had a successful career in the arts. George, the eldest, (1855-1933) designed stained glass; Frederick (1856-1920) became a noted ceramic artist, and Louis (1857-1926), the best known of the three, emigrated to the United States where he was a prominent figure in the poster art craze of the 1890s and remains best known for his illustrations for children's books.
