Synopsis

FUN AND MYSTERY IN THE SNOW

Teddy and Janet Martin were the Curlytops. They were called the Curlytops because they had the cutest, curliest curly hair that ever grew. (Trouble was their little brother, but he didn't have curly hair.)

Anyway, they were building a toboggan slide for when it snowed with their friends Tom and Lola Taylor -- and Trouble fell off the top! Fortunately he fell into a box and didn't hurt himself.

And next, who should show up but Uncle Toby.

There's no snow here! Let's go up to Crystal Lake, said Uncle Toby.

Lola and Tom hop in Uncle Toby's car along with the Curlytops. At Crystal Lake, they find snow and two more playmates, Harry and Mary Benton.

But they also find a strange man there -- and a mystery!

À propos de l'auteur

Howard Roger Garis (1873 - 1962) was an American author, best known for a series of books, most books he published under his own name but in Baseball Joe he published under Lester Chadwick, that featured the character of Uncle Wiggily Longears, an engaging elderly rabbit. Garis and his wife were possibly the most prolific children's authors of the early 20th century. Many of his books were illustrated by Lansing Campbell. Garis was born in Binghamton, New York. He and his spouse Lilian Garis both worked as reporters for the Newark Evening News. He did some work on the side for WNJR also in Newark.
