Synopsis

This is a book skilled in construction of the narrative. Combined within its pages are apt illustrations, patent sincerity, and biblical truth. Of particular interest is the chapter that deals with the ministry of the church, where the author deals with the doctrine of reconciliation. This book is a good read and recommended to everyone interested in a biblically based ecclesiology. Bob Compton (deceased pastor of Beaver Dam Baptist Church) Dr. Randy White's passion for calling the church to renewal of her God-given mission and purpose shines clearly from the pages of this book. He confronts readers with the biblical picture of the church functioning as Christ intended and contrasts that with the picture of the church as often encountered in the 21st century. Dr. White calls for repentance and return to a vibrant church that is empowered by the Holy Spirit and actively involved in evangelism. M. Lynn Sasser, D. Min. Executive Leader Congregational Service Group Baptist State Convention of North Carolina
