In her debut memoir, Following the Red Bird: first steps into a life of faith, Kate describes how she came to embrace a relationship with God after maintaining a pick-and-choose approach to spirituality for many years. Their Faces Shone: a foster parent's lessons on loving and letting go is her second book.Kate works full-time in international public health, and she is currently working on her third book about the challenges and gifts of maintaining a Sabbath practice in a non-stop world.
