ERIN ZAMRZLA is the author of At Home with Handmade Books. She has loved making things for as long as she can remember. She was born in Kansas and spent most of her life there, earning BFA and MFA degrees in graphic design from Fort Hays State University. While studying, she learned bookbinding from a required course and later taught it as a graduate student. Her favorite part has always been the combination of working with paper and found objects. She especially enjoys transforming old, used objects into something new and wonderful. Her creations have been featured in a variety of places, including ReadyMade magazine, Coudal.com, Design*Sponge, BoingBoing.net, Craftzine.com, Makezine.com, and NOTCOT.org. She is currently designing, painting and binding books from her home in Santa Monica, California.
