She conducts workshops and trainings internationally and online, teaching thousands of women and birth professionals about postpartum care, self-care for new mothers, and sexual health. She is the author of The Fourth Trimester and The Fourth Trimester Cards.

JOANNA JOHNSON is an artist and illustrator based in Malmo (Sweden), with roots in both Sweden and Sierra Leone, West Africa. Her signature black-and-white, bold graphic works in ink and acrylic explore themes around motherhood, identity, gender, race, and capitalism. As a result of her growing interest in trauma and healing, she explores a holistic understanding beyond the division of body and soul that often dominates the Western approach in health and medical science.
