Synopsis

The message of Home Making is a powerful one pointing us to a domestic bliss for the Christian family. J. R. Miller carefully addresses each member of the family with advice on ways to better serve the family thereby creating a more joyful home life for all. "Sisters, Brothers, Husbands, Wives -- Home life is meant to be beautiful, ennobling, and victorious!" "This book is written in the hope that its pages may carry inspiration and a little help, perhaps, to those who desire to do faithful work for God within their own doors. Its aim is to mark out the duties and responsibilities of each member of the household, and to suggest how each may do a part in making the home life what God meant it to be." James Russell Miller was a popular Christian author, Editorial Superintendent of the Presbyterian Board of Publication, and pastor of several churches in Pennsylvania and Illinois. He was the General field Agent for the United States Christian Commission, an organization established by the Young Men's Christian Association after the First Battle of Bull Run. Miller authored nearly 100 books and articles.

Biographie de l'auteur

J.R. Miller, D.D., was a pastor, author, and editor of the Presbyterian Board of Publication. He served as pastor in churches from Philadelphia to northern Illinois, and under his leadership every church he pastored grew to over 1,000 members in a short period of time.
