David E. Campbell is professor of political science at the University of Notre Dame and founding director of the Rooney Center for the Study of American Democracy.

Meira Levinson is a professor of education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and former middle school teacher in the Atlanta and Boston Public Schools.

Frederick M. Hess is a resident scholar and director of education policy studies at the American Enterprise Institute. He is the author of Cage-Busting Leadership (Harvard Education Press, 2013).
