"My Worried Book" is a picture book with communication symbols designed by expert Deb Crump to help children with developmental and communication disorders manage their worries. It is the second in a series of books to help children handle various emotions in appropriate and productive ways.
As an Educational Consultant and Adult Educator, Deb assists families, teachers and schools in their attempts to meet the needs of all children. She is a firm believer in the idea that each child has potential and that with the right supports, all children can shine.
Crump is also the founder of A Different Drummer, a company she created to produce media, visual aids, and learning tools for children with special needs. Her unique materials can be found in homes and classrooms.
"My Worried Book" is illustrated by Kate Downs, founder of PEC Books, to accommodate common visual interference and learning obstacles for children with developmental disorders.

Deb Crump is widely regarded as an expert in early childhood education and intervention for children with developmental delays.
Born and raised in Maine, Crump began her adult life with a computer degree. In the early 1990s, she began working with children with special needs as an Educational Technician in a preschool classroom. She fell in love with the children and the work and returned to school to earn a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Special Education. In addition to serving as a special education teacher in classrooms and homes, she also trains professionals for working with students with autism and developmental delays.
