À propos de l'auteur

Mary Dulebohn is a Portland, Oregon native. In 1981 she was an auditor at the Ramon Air Base in Israel, which was under construction by the U.S. government as a result of the Camp David Accords. Living in the middle of the Negev desert, she learned of the Nabatean civilization and explored the ruins of Shivta and Avdat, as well as their reconstruction vineyards and orchards. This novel is partly an outgrowth of those Negev Desert experiences. After returning to the U.S., she resumed her business consulting work, and wrote a weekly column—along with profile articles—for a regional newspaper, and has been published in many different periodicals over the years. Because of her experiences in the Middle East, particularly the Holy Lands, and the interest she developed for that region, she has done extensive research for the story in this book.
