Two briefappendices address Ecclesiasticus and the Wisdom ofSolomon.

Phillips has served as professor of biblical andtheological studies at Gordon College (Wenham, MA) since 1993and for the past two decades has also been a visiting professorat Jerusalem University College. She is the author of numerousscholarly articles on the Old Testament and has served on theeditorial board of the Bulletin for Biblical Research. Phillips hasreceived several distinguished teaching awards and regularlylectures on the Bible to both professional societies and layaudiences."
