Synopsis

Dodge disappears after being sent to fetch more gold paint. She's really just trying to avoid the work of painting the leaves for autumn, but the other Elves assume that she has been waylaid by the winter Gnomes?and now war is brewing. Holmstead, a character worthy of Arthur Conan Doyle, sets out with Swallow, following the clues the hapless Dodge has left behind, as Dodge herself tries desperately to think of a way to return and avert war without revealing her laziness and deception. 25-35 minutes. 6-15 males, 5-15 females (11-30 performers possible). Ideal for elementary schools, middle schools, high schools, youth theatres, universities, and community theatres. Published and performances licensed by YouthPLAYS (www.youthplays.com), publisher of plays for young actors and audiences.
