Kate Webber holds an anthropology degree from Bates College, which concentrates on environment, place and history.� She has worked with the Maine Historical Society, the Freeport Historical Society, the Williams-Mystic Maritime Studies Program, Mystic Seaport Museum of America and the Sea, Bates Community Folk Festival in Lewiston. She is also involved with Deep Woods Enterprises woodturning and farmers market retailing in Pownal, Stanton Bird Club in Lewiston, Museum Lewiston-Auburn, Swan's Island Music and Dance and Swan's Island library.
