Ilia Delio, OSF, is Director of the Catholic Studies Program and Visiting Professor at Georgetown University, and former Senior Fellow in Science and Religion at Woodstock Theological Center, Georgetown. She is the recipient of a prestigious Templeton course award in Science and Religion, which she received in 2000. She holds a doctorate in Pharmacology from New Jersey Medical School/Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and a doctorate in Historical Theology from Fordham University. She is the author of several seminal books including Christ in Evolution (Orbis) and Care for Creation which won two Catholic Press Book Awards in 2009, followed by The Emergent Christ (Orbis 2011) and The Unbearable Wholeness of Being (Orbis 2013), both winners of Catholic Press Book Awards.
