Alexander Cotte Poveda is professor of Development Economics, Economic Theory and Economic Growth at Santo Tomas University in Bogotá Colombia. He research interest includes structural equation modeling, applied micro-econometrics, quantitative development economics, and labour economics. He has published numerous articles in refereed journals, among them the Journal Oxford Development Studies; Journal of International Development; Socio-Economic Planning Sciences; Journal Peace Economics, Peace Science and Public Policy; Journal Quality and Quantity; Journal Energy Systems; Journal of Rural Development; Iberoamerican Journal of Development Studies and Journal Social Indicators Research. He is member Editorial Board of the Socio-Economic Planning Sciences. Most of his current research is in the field of political economy, Development Politics, Economic and Violence, Poverty, Inequality, Economic Growth, Energy and Human Capital.
