Synopsis

VOLUME 4 (of 11)

Babylon 5 creator J. Michael Straczynski presents his original teleplays for the revolutionary sf series that introduced the five-year arc to television.

This volume includes:

• "Comes the Inquisitor"  — This March 4, 1995 draft features dialogue—and a key revelation—cut from Delenn's interrogation by a mysterious Vorlon inquisitor.
• "The Fall of Night" — Season two concluded with this March 26, 1995 script and a spectacular setpiece in the station's zero-gravity core where Captain John Sheridan comes face to face with a First One.
• "Matters of Honor" —  Ranger Marcus Cole is introduced in an action-packed season premiere which also debuts the White Star and brings the Shadow War front and center. This June 11, 1995 teleplay begins JMS's first 22-episode season as sole author.
• "Convictions" —  Babylon 5 suffers a series bombings and Londo Mollari and G'Kar find themselves trapped together in this explosive June 20, 1995 teleplay.
• "A Day in the Strife" — Sheridan faces down an berserker probe while G'Kar faces a crisis of legitimacy in this June 27, 1995 script.
• "Passing Through Gethsemane" — This standout teleplay from July 17, 1995 explores the consequences of the Death of Personality—the Earth Alliance's punishment for murder—in a story wherein a catholic monk discovers he may not be who he believes himself to be.
• "Voices of Authority" — This July 10, 1995 pits Sheridan against President Morgan Clark's fascist government in the form of a political officer while Commander Susan Ivanova chases down potential allies.
• "Dust to Dust" — Alfred Bester returns in pursuit of a drug that induces telepathic abilities in this August 7, 1995 teleplay.
• "Exogenesis" — Dr. Stephen Franklin and Marcus Cole team up for the first time in this September 5, 1995 story of an alien incursion.
