Set in an historic neighborhood near the Chesapeake Bay, the situation grows from a hesitant check of Laura’s apartment to a complex and menacing mystery as Robert Symonds, a former foreign service officer, is drawn in to assist the Tuesday Table Ladies.

Octavia Long is the pseudonym for eight women who dine together every Tuesday at Longwood at Oakmont, a community of retirees in western Pennsylvania.

One evening, one of them failed to appear for dinner. “Where’s Muriel? Could something have happened to her?” After a search, she was found. That was the inspiration for the idea of a mystery entitled Where’s Laura? written by the Tuesday Table Ladies.
