Mark A. Ryan is Senior Counsel with the EPA Region X Office of Regional Counsel, where he has worked since 1990. At the EPA, Mr. Ryan works primarily on CWA litigation and permitting, and he is an adjunct faculty member with the EPA National Trial Advocacy Institute in Boulder, Colorado. Mr. Ryan has written and spoken extensively about the CWA and he serves on the editorial board of the ABA's Natural Resources and Environment magazine. He received his B.S. in natural resources from the University of Michigan and studied environmental policy at the University of Tübingen, Germany, as a University of Michigan Tübingen Fellow. Mr. Ryan received his law degree in 1988 from Indiana University School of Law, where he was an editor of the Indiana Law Journal. April 2011
