Synopsis

You could say /The Boy with a Sledgehammer for a Heart/ is a book about a break-up, but that wouldn't be entirely true. At its core, this is a book about the things we do and become in order to survive, how we claw our way back to who we used to be only to find ourselves a little different, even after we've fully recovered. And that's okay.

A propos du livre

À propos de l'auteur

Lex Bobrow is a graduate of the University of Miami creative writing program and lives in south Florida with and near his loved ones. A writer by day and a writer by night, he loves a well-crafted cartoon and kisses so potent they warp the fabric of space-time. In 20 years, you'll find him hiding in the Alcázar of Seville, scribbling love notes to gravity and the way she bites her lip, or in the Florida Keys kayaking through the mangroves where he makes his home. Perhaps he'll have a vacation cottage on the moon, but the ocean, the ocean will always call him back until he really does go home. Bury him in a garden by the Atlantic Ocean with a perpetual music box on his gravestone. Lex is the winner of the 2012 Laurence Donovan Prize in Poetry, and you can find his work in Mangrove Literary Journal, Black Heart Magazine, Maudlin House, Hermeneutic Chaos, Wingbeats II: Exercises and Practice in Poetry, Literary Sexts: A Collection of Short & Sexy Love Poems Vol I, and a few other magazines.
