Synopsis

The poems in Explorations are reflections and observations on nature and life. Bookended by Rotunda Dreams and Appalachian Dawn, the poem Western Explorations is a Whitman-esque series of poemettes in which the author's journey through several National Parks in the American West which parallels a spiritual journey of the soul. Rotunda Dreams recounts a beautifully warm spring evening sitting on the steps of Thomas Jefferson's Rotunda at the University of Virginia. Meanwhile, Appalachian Dawn chronicles a magical morning drive through the mountains of western Virginia and West Virginia.

À propos de l?auteur

Gregory Ashe is a father of three, husband to one, government consumer protection lawyer, former astronomy student, and observer of life. As a lawyer he writes for a living (mostly legal briefs and memoranda) and has published several articles in legal and scientific journals. When not protecting consumers, Greg enjoys camping, reading, listening to music, and competing in marathons, ultramarathons, and triathlons. He lives with his family in the Washington, D.C. suburbs. Greg's poetry also has appeared in Fredericksburg Literary and Art Review and Penultimate Peanut. This is his first published book of poetry.
