When the protectorate program takes Damian for granted, turning his back on everything he knows seems like it might be his only option. But that includes turning his back on his friends, Thea and Lance, who were also forced into the program. Damian must decide if he will defend his home from this new threat or join the insurgents, whose goal for a better Infrenus is the very thing he’s wanted his whole life.
