About the Author: Born and brought up at Begusarai, Bihar. Received initial education under the tutelage of renowned lawyer, grandfather Lt. Shionandan Prasad Sinha. Owing to the transferable nature of job of father Lt. Satyendra Mohan Sinha Kumar, I.A.S., received formal school education in different places in Bihar. After Graduation (with Honours in English Literature) from R.D.S. College, Muzaffarpur, earned a Master's degree in English Literature from Patna University, Patna. Taught for some years at Shyam Nandan Sahay College, Muzaffarpur before joining Sikkim Institute of Higher Nyingma Studies under the Government of Sikkim at Gangtok. Following superannuation from there after 33 years of service, presently residing at Zirakpur (Mohali) in Punjab.
