Synopsis

Every culture in the past has battled issues that oppose the gospel of Jesus Christ. In the early church, apologists combatted heresies and those who were antagonistic toward the gospel. During the Enlightenment, culture was dealing with unbelief (atheism) and Deism. Modernity dealt with rationalism, and postmodernism with relativism. In other words, all cultures throughout history had to deal with philosophies and ideas that ran counter to the gospel. Today, there are new problems that need to be confronted. This study wants to clarify the task that we are called to defend the message of hope that is found in Christ from a biblical and, above all, a Christo-centric perspective.
