Synopsis

Polymathic talent is the future. But without systems that understand and support them, even the brightest minds burn out. In Versatile: Human Intelligence in an Artificial Age, Dr. Angela C. Meyers presents a practical guidebook for the gatekeepers of talent—organizational leaders, HR professionals, coaches, business strategists, and career counselors.

Drawing on the emerging science of polymathy and her own groundbreaking doctoral research, Meyers offers an emotionally intelligent roadmap for recognizing, developing, and unleashing multidimensional brilliance in the workplace. As AI transforms every industry and individuals are asked to perform the work of entire teams, the need for versatile generalists—those with emotional depth, integrative thinking, and adaptive capacities—has never been greater.

More than a manifesto, Versatile is a toolkit for cultivating human range. With frameworks, training-ready chapters, and reflection prompts, it equips organizations to thrive amid accelerating change This book is both a wake-up call and an invitation—to redesign how we develop and deploy human potential, and to build cultures where creativity, complexity, and compassion become competitive advantages.
