Synopsis

Some years ago, in the old mill town of Lowell, Massachusetts, lived a boy named Guy DeMonde who was at once a dreamer and sometimes a loner. Pierre V. Comtois has been the editor and publisher of Fungi, the Magazine of Fantasy and Weird Fiction since 1984 and has had a number of books released by numerous publishers including A Well Ordered Universe and Scheduled for Extinction from Desert Breeze Publishers; Talismanic and The Science Agents trilogy from Rogue Phoenix Press; and four volumes dealing with Marvel Comics including Marvel Comics in the 1980s: An Issue by Issue Field Guide to a Pop Culture Phenomenon, Marvel Comics in the 1970s, Marvel Comics in the 1960s, and Marvel Comics 1960-1964 by Twomorrows Publishers. Non-fiction releases include Hazardous History: Fantastic Cinema in the Years Before CGI; and Gats, Gams, and Guts: the Dark World of Film Noir. Forthcoming in 2026 will be Marvel Comics 1965-1969.
