Synopsis

Prepare to experience fear at its coldest. In a world where the temperature plummets, so too do the depths of terror. Absolute Zero is an anthology that delves into the chilling extremes of human experience, exploring the frigid landscapes-- both literal and metaphorical-- that push our minds and bodies to the brink. Inside these pages, the frost is not just a physical presence but an emotional one, as each story examines the icy grip of isolation, despair, and the unknown. Whether it's the suffocating stillness of a frozen landscape, the cold indifference of a malevolent force, or the harrowing consequences of a frozen mind, Absolute Zero takes readers to the very edge of what can be endured. Here, in these frozen worlds, the monsters are not always what you expect-- and sometimes, they are the ones we carry inside.

À propos de l?auteur

Marcel Feldmar was born in Vancouver, spent some time in Denver and Seattle, and ended up in Los Angeles with his wife and three dogs. He has been a regular contributor to The Big Takeover Magazine since the mid 90's and the author of the YA supernatural mystery Keys To The Sun. His enjoyment of great coffee and well-made cocktails helped lead the way to the fantasy noir novel, Awkward on the Rocks. Marcel is also co-writing a comic book series and several short stories with musician Kirk Hammett. Anne Woods is the author of various short stories published by Creepy Podcast, as part of the Horror Over Handlebars anthology, and in 7th Circle Pyrite, with others forthcoming. When not writing horror, she can be found reading horror, watching horror, or walking her beloved mutts and listening to podcasts about horror (or DnD). William Jensen is the author of Cities of Men. His short fiction has appeared in North Dakota Quarterly, The Texas Review, Mystery Tribune, and elsewhere. In 2022, he edited the anthology Road Kill: Texas Horror by Texas Writers, Vol. 7. He resides in Central Texas with his wife and daughters. Discover more at www.williamjensenwrites.com David Rider grew up roaming the alleyways of Calumet City, Illinois. Like most Gen X kids, he lived an unsupervised, feral existence. This included consuming horror movies and Stephen King novels at too young an age. His stories have appeared in anthologies from Sinister Smile Press and Grendel Press. He has published three novels: We Are Van Helsing Books One and Two and Anca's Undead Playlist. He lives with his wife, kids, and dogs, and he needs coffee to transform into a functional adult. Visit his website at www.davidriderauthor.com. E.J. Bramble is an author of horror with a degree in psychology who enjoys writing weird things. Her work has been published in anthologies and magazines such as Crawling and Seaside Gothic, and often incorporates aspects of body horror and a sense of unease. She lives in England, and, while working towards that elusive novel, enjoys running, cooking, and being by the sea. Neil Williamson lives in the often inhumanly frigid city of Glasgow, Scotland. His most recent book is the urban folk horror novella, Charlie Says (Black Shuck Books), and he has been a finalist for British Science Fiction Association, British Fantasy and World Fantasy awards. Matt Dodge is a Canadian writer of short stories, comics and a novel. His work has been featured in Shotgun Honey, JMWW, Grim & Gilded, Underwood Press, Cold Creek Review, and the Tales From The Cloakroom Vol. 1 anthology from Cloakroom Comics. Bryan Holm grew up in Minnesota and lives in St. Louis Park with his wife and dog. He is a photographer by day who spends his nights writing and consuming all things horror. His short fiction has been published in anthologies by Sinister Smile Press, Eerie River Publishing, HellBound Books, and Strange Wilds Press. He was featured on the Bloodlist as a Fresh Blood Selects for his screenwriting. Growing up amidst the violent anxieties of Northern Ireland's " Troubles," G.M. Garner quickly found escape in the fictional world of the macabre. Fantastically reclusive, he currently resides in Nottingham, England, with his wife, dogs, and a lasting infatuation with all things monstrous and grim. Frederick was born and raised in Maine but now resides in Southern California. When not learning to cook new things or exploring his love of archery and the outdoors, he writes stories inspired by his rural upbringing, his career in close-protection security, and his fascination with the fire that drives the human heart, for good or for ill. Marzia La Barbera is an Italian fiction writer and academic researcher. She writes science fiction and horror with a little bit of romance and a whole lot of blood, and enjoys delving into the mysteries of the human monster. Her short stories have appeared in magazines and anthologies in Italy. W
