I grew up in a small town in South Dakota, attended college and medical school, and then, nearly twenty years ago, became an anesthesiologist. As a partner in a small medical practice, I often find my life to be a whirlwind. But there came a time when I knew I needed to pursue other interests and passions. I've always loved books and writing, so it seemed natural to start a new chapter in my life as an author. Devils in White Coats is my first in a series of medical thrillers; I feel that I'm in a unique position, as an M.D., to make certain that even fictional portions of the story are realistic from a medical perspective.
