While many people were stunned by this dark turn in our country's history, Mary began speaking in seventeen syllables. Her first Haiku was, Loved the color orange/ Pumpkins, autumn leaves, tigers/Now Orange is new Blech. Mary lives in Chicago with her husband Ron, and avid haiku reader.
