The next decade of competitive advantage will be decided by who controls the software layer between people and AI. Most companies haven’t noticed the fight has started.
For thirty years technology shifts have reshaped who wins. This shift is different. AI agents don’t wait to be asked. They anticipate, orchestrate, and act. When software disappears into intent, the old questions stop mattering. Which app? Which vendor? Which feature? Wrong questions. The real one is who owns the defaults, the memory, and the trust.
The Invisible Interface is for boards, operators, and capital allocators who need to understand what’s actually at stake. Not the technology. The power, the profit, and the control that shifts when the interface becomes invisible. Inside you’ll find the tools used with executive teams and investment committees: proofseconds, the Four Trust Signals, the Decision-Friction Index, and the economics of cognitive rent.
Own the default, own the data. Own the data, own the decade.
Your competitors are racing to pick AI vendors.

Hardback. Etat : New. The next big interface won't be on your screen-it will be the space between your intention and the result. In Invisible Interface, operator-investor Harry Glorikian explains how artificial intelligence is quietly moving us from "open an app and tap" to "say what you want and it gets done." The shift sounds small. It's not. When software becomes invisible, trust becomes the interface. Glorikian introduces the concept of the Personal Operating Layer (POL)-a helpful, always-on teammate that understands your context, coordinates across your tools, and acts on your behalf while keeping you in control. A true POL does five things well: it remembers what matters to you, reasons across your information, reaches into apps and services to take action, reflects on results to improve next time, and respects your boundaries with clear controls you can see and stop. This is a practical book for busy people who need outcomes. Glorikian defines a new measure for trust-proof-seconds, the time it takes to verify that an answer is correct. If it takes under ten seconds to confirm, users will return the next day. From there, the book gets concrete: Receipts that show sources and confidence, right on the result. Overrides (a visible stop button) so humans can correct the system in the moment. Audits so teams can learn, comply, and improve. Invisible Interface reveals how the economics of intelligence are changing-how cheaper cognition flips business models and reshapes who captures value. It shows why defaults decide: in a world of agent-to-agent commerce, the product that becomes the "one-slot pick" wins the customer in seconds. And it demonstrates how to redesign work, so people focus on judgment and relationships while agents handle the grind. Drawing on examples from healthcare, finance, and everyday life, Glorikian translates the technical into the practical, providing tools leaders can apply immediately-a Decision-Friction Index to prioritise automation, a Beacon/Receipt framework for building trustworthy products, and an Agent Experience Optimisation checklist to help organisations earn default status. If your strategy still starts with "build another app," you're aiming at yesterday. Invisible Interface is the field guide to leading when decisions happen at the speed of intent.
