Synopsis

A genuine and true authentic leader sets the pace of the organization or company he or she is leading. The success or failure of an organization or company does not rest with the people whom you lead, but rather, rests solely on the leader. It is the leader's responsibility to set the pace of the company or organization. This means the leader is responsible for the vision of the company or organization; the leader determines the projects the company or organization is about to embark upon; the leader determines how slow or how fast the company or organization moves its products, increase its profit margin, or reach the apex of sales in a particular department. The leader's job is to set the pace, but to also be an example of the pace in which he or she is leading. IF the leader is moving too fast for those who follow him or her, then he or she needs to slow down to allow others to catch up. If a leader starts insulting or critizing those who follow him, they will develop an attitude of frustration and condemnation. It is the leader's job to lead by example. If people need to stay late in the office to complete a project, the leader must set the pace and do the same. Setting the pace means having the right attitude of leadership and delegation. A leader who will lead by example will always have people following him or her inevitably, and this is what makes the leader in his or leadership authentic and well-qualified to lead.
