Synopsis
Calvin Patrick Sr. and Rosalia Tate started their marriage during the depreciation as share croppers plus getting help from the government by sharing a sewing machine with other ladies in the same situation and Calvin who shared the work with others, building roads and bridges through the (WPA), Works Progress Administration. By 1940 Calvin had his own farm purchased from the Government and became his own man and out of poverty.They taught their family Christian values that have sustained them throughout their lives. The family has grown up to be “Working Class” educated families and many completed college and became successful in business.
