Synopsis

THE YEARS FLEW BY FASTER THAN REALIZED... TILL TOO LATE.These stories stemmed out of barroom bullshit in many places in many situations and always got some smiles. To be a good story teller you must know where to pause and when to exaggerate for the full Monty of the story and when it’s building to the finale. Read these stories and try to picture someone telling it too you instead of reading it. I hope you get a laugh and if you want to learn it well enough to tell it in a bar some night or at a party, please do. In any state of mind it’s all in fun.ABOUT JOHN GOODALEHe was born a poor white child in a small hospital in Monroe, Michigan, because he wanted to be close to his mother. His first few years was on the farm playing in the yard with the ducks and chickens and a kitten named mittens. His parents moved south in 1953, no not Florida just 12 miles to the resort village of Luna Pier, Michigan on the shore of Lake Erie. This is where he learned the mean streets in a town that was a half mile wide and two miles long and no way to drive through town, I-75 on one side and Lake Erie on the other. Spent the next 16 years growing up and working in the area and saving for the chance to go to Florida. When it came it was glorious. Spent a couple weeks the first time and saved for the next trip with hopes of staying for good. Within a year, it happened and off he went. Work was hard to find that paid more than two bucks an hour so back to Michigan after 6 months to save up more money. Made it back down there in late ’73 and off his life went as a Florida citizen. Got married in late ’75 and was working construction. Being an avid reader it got him into writing things down in his head so he would not forget them, all this stuff is where this book came from.
