Jonathan L. McCune was born to missionary parents, Henry and Gladys McCune. They dedicated their lives to missionary work in China. As a child, he was with them for one term of six years. He has been involved in various capacities in the churches he has attended for most of his adult life. For seven plus years he was an associate pastor at Christian Life Center, Stockton, California. He made six trips to India for several months each time to teach Bible doctrine to various size groups of students at Bible training sessions.
