Synopsis

If you're looking for a window into human existence, a full spectrum of emotion, and a flair for musical flow, this poetry collection provides a completely unique experience. Oxford commas need not apply.

Requiem in Rhyme is the author's debut collection of poems written over almost two decades. The poems themselves meditate on universal topics: depression, mental health, suicidal ideation, substance abuse, and insomnia. The project has been described as poetry written in a hip-hop style cadence.

The book is approachable even for those with minimal poetry experience. But it also features elaborate nuance and diction manipulation to satisfy deep-diving poetry afficionados. Certain selections are a bit of a gut-punch, but others will bring a smile to your face, and laughter to your heart. It was written from the soul and edited with the mind.

À propos de l'auteur

Dustin Edwards has written poetry for well over two decades, garnering his first publishing credit in 1999 as a high school freshman. His poetry serves as a form of catharsis and mental processing that stems from experiencing life in a unique way. Soon, he received appreciation from readers across many different walks of life.Edwards holds a BS in Public Relations from the University of Texas (Austin) and spent many years studying Philosophy, Religion and Social Sciences. As an Anglophile, he enjoys proper football as well as regular football, particularly the United States Men's National Team and Chelsea Football Club. An appreciation for hip-hop rhythms is evident in the cadence of his writing style. In other oeuvres, he is a classically French-trained chef and has cooked on five of the seven continents.
