Synopsis

Mama's Fireside Chronicles is a composed from author Pawnee Pleines's personal experience. The poems in this book reflect some of the communication between herself and Jesus. Throughout this book, she shares how her relationship with Jesus has grown deeper since she was a little girl.

It has been written that every memoir reminds us of the faraway and long ago, of loss and change, of persons and places beyond recall. Pawnee finds that little memory of her life is as clear as she would like it to be but realizes the point of every lesson in her life returns to her memory when it is needed most. Like an old chest where we keep our precious photo albums, when we feel the need, the photos are there.

Pawnee gives all the credit to Jesus, her unofficial co-author of this book.

À propos de l'auteur

Pawnee Pleines's grandfather owned property in Arizona a century ago. It was common to find Native American nomads, including children, in temporary shelters outside of the township in the desert. The author's father worked for her grandfather when he was fifteen. He had already married her mother, also fifteen. Her mom made him a sandwich every day. One day, a native girl, about four years old, came up to him from out of the desert. She stood and stared at his sandwich, which he shared. When the sandwich was gone, so was she. This went on for weeks. One day she didn't show up, the next day the same; they searched but never found her. In Pawnee's father's attempt to communicate with her, he would point at his chest and say, "David." It took weeks for her to respond, but eventually she pointed at her own chest and said, "Pawnee." Author Pawnee Pleines has the honor of being named after this little traveler.
