Paul Davis
Paul grew up in the United Kingdom and later made New York City his home. A lifelong storyteller, he has written screenplays and short stories that explore courage, hope, and the power of compassion. His feature film Cathedral Canyon, based on true events, won the Audience Choice Award at the Palm Beach International Film Festival. Paul has always loved dogs and has been lucky enough to rescue two who were in desperate situations but went on to live happy, loving lives. Inspired by their resilience and joy, he brings the same spirit of kindness and adventure to his writing. Through the Chanel & Milo stories, Paul hopes to remind readers-young and old-that friendship, empathy, and small acts of goodness can make the world a better place.
Julia L. Rosengren
Julia grew up in a small town in northern Brazil, where she learned strength, kindness, and creativity while helping her family each day. Her big dreams carried her across the world as a model, chef, filmmaker, inventor, and devoted animal rescuer. Julia has saved many animals-including her beloved dog, Chanel, the inspiration for this book's main character. Julia also creates films that share messages about caring for our planet and one another. Her projects, whether they be a film or, in this case, a book, are inspired by her adventures and love of nature, and continue her mission of creativity with purpose. Above all, Julia hopes to inspire children everywhere to be brave, kind, and to believe that even the smallest act of love can change the world.
