Synopsis

Tina P. was just a little girl when her father abandoned the family. She experienced feelings of loss, neglect, and rejection. In In Search of My Parent, she shares her life story, discusses how her father’s rejection framed her existence, and describes her search for him.

This memoir chronicles her journey where her spiritual guide teaches that she must move beyond the pain of her past and work toward the dawn of her future. Tina musters the resources to recover from her loss and learns to love again, finding the healing power of love, peace, and forgiveness.

In Search of My Parent not only shares Tina’s personal story, but it seeks to help others who have experienced the pain and trauma caused by being abandoned by a parent. She may not have found the answer she was searching for, but it brought her to a place where she found forgiveness.
