Even before William Miller pronounced these kinds of tidings for 1843, and when it didn't occur, he assured his followers it would happen on October 22, 1844; this refrain was common from Christians down throughout the ages. However, since the time of Miller, and especially since 1948, when the nation of Israel was given birth, the chorus of Christian voices proclaiming End-Times and Last-Days is a constant message.
