Hindman, as a first-generation student with American-Indian heritage, statistically beat the odds to earn four degrees within the field of education, namely a B.S. in Secondary Education, a Masters of Education in Ed. Leadership, a 6th Year Ed. Specialist in Ed. Administration, and a Ph.D. in Adult & Higher Ed. Leadership, with a specialty in Community College Leadership. As a member of Oregon State University's graduate faculty, she teaches Masters and Doctoral-level courses for OSU's College of Education, and also with their Professional Development for Educators (PDE) program.
