The book "Safest Place in Iraq" tells the stories of the men and women I met, served with, and ministered to when I was deployed to Iraq as an Army chaplain. It also discusses what I experienced personally, and some of the issues I dealt with. My goal in this study guide is to ask questions that will lead to further reflection and discussion. The guide follows the chapters in the original book, highlighting the various topics as they come up, bringing up scriptures, pointing out military policies, and asking questions for you to think about. This study guide has two sections. The first focuses on how to lead a discussion, class, or fellowship group. And the second has the questions for each chapter of the book, "Safest Place in Iraq." In addition to having "Safest Place in Iraq" nearby for reference, it might be helpful to have your Bible and your phone or laptop with you. That way you’ll be able to search topics when something crosses your mind or inspires you.
