Synopsis

A completely new and unusual theory of the nature of ball lightning is presented, which allows us to explain in two pages all the anomalous properties and the mysterious behavior of ball lightning. The theory has stood the test of time. Over three dozen peer-reviewed articles have been published in leading international journals in physics and optics since the advent of this theory.These articles are presented in a book, the main part of which contains 16 pages. This part can be bought separately. If desired, you can buy any number of articles that can be ordered in addition to the main part.Inside the ball lightning there is no electricity, plasma, electrodynamic processes and chemical reactions. There is nothing but white light and ordinary atmospheric air, where ball lightning is located. Light rotates in a thin spherical layer of compressed air in all possible directions. Compressed air is a light guide that prevents light from being emitted into the surrounding area. In turn, the rotating light compresses the air in which the light rotates, due to the known physical effect of electrostriction pressure. Thus, ball lightning is a symbiosis of rotating light and compressed air. Unlike a soap bubble, in which its spherical shape is provided by the excess air pressure in the volume limited by the soap film, the spherical shape of the light bubble is provided by the centrifugal forces of the rotating light. Believing a priori, that bubbles of light are an objective reality, we have shown that in accordance with well-known laws of physics behavior of bubbles of light in the conventional air atmosphere is completely identical to mysterious and paradoxical behavior of natural ball lightning. Too many puzzles related to ball lightning can be explained by the assumption that ball lightning is a bubble of light.It is generally accepted that a natural ball lightning has properties which combination is absent in any known object. None of above 500 existing now theories of ball lightning can explain combination of properties inherent to ball lightning. Perfectly new unknown up to now object which has all properties of ball lightning is required. We have shown that our bubble of light has simultaneously all listed properties. It is unlikely that this is a mere coincidence.From the presented consideration it is necessary to draw a conclusion that bubbles of light are not game of mind, but it is an objective reality. Till now bubbles of light were studied neither theoretically, nor experimentally. Anybody did not suspect at all about an opportunity of their existence. Ought to underline that the existence of bubbles of light in nature is based not on theoretical rationale but on wonderful coincidence of behaviors of bubbles of light and ball lightning in air atmosphere as well as on their common physical properties. At this point it would be possible to finish activity on an explanation of the nature of ball lightning and to expect a general recognition of the presented hypothesis. Unfortunately, new theories win a general recognition not so promptly as we would like. For example, about a century was required for Copernicus theory that the earth rotates around the sun to win a general recognition. How does ball lightning feel obstacles?How does ball lightning feel that an obstacle has appeared in its path and what means it uses so that it does not run into the obstacle, but bypasses it?Approaching an obstacle, the circulating light heats it due to its radiation. The obstacle warms up nearby air layers. As a result, air density decreases when approaching an obstacle. Once in this zone, the circulating light moves in the direction of increasing the air density, that is, from the obstacle.References on the mentioned above three dozen articles are given in the book end.
