The aim of this thesis is to develop a distinctively Pentecostal ecotheol- ogy in conversation with current views surrounding ecotheology among Roman Catholic, Eastern Orthodox, and Protestant theologians. This is being done not only to enhance the current academic discussions taking place, but also to enable the implementation of it in real life, in particular, in the lives of the approximately 680,000,000 Pentecostals worldwide. Although it may seem that Pentecostalism and ecotheology are not suitable partners, it is this author’s belief that they complement one another. To advance this argument, there will be four supporting chapters. Chapter 1 will identify the Environmental Crisis and the possible causes for it, as well as what Pentecostalism can learn from Christianity’s par- ticipation in helping cause this crisis. Chapter 2 will look at the Old and New Testament as building blocks for a sound creation care ethic. Chap- ter 3 will engage with the discussions taking place between the three major Christians traditions. Chapter 4 will then develop a distinctive Pentecostal ecotheology, with specific ethical implications for Pentecostal believers.
