Synopsis

In the conclusion based on his analytical findings, the author AmusaAbdulateef maintained that gross and unceasing infringements of rights of the creatures in different ecosystems in biosphere would never permit the maintenance and sustenance of green environment that is essential to our growth and development in all facets. The hemisphere, north and south, tilting towards and away from the sun, paves the way for the seasons which the lithosphere and hydrosphere require to produce green ecosystem. He wrote ‘Ignorant and selfish man is unjust to self and does not know the implication by adverse effects on the economic, political and other aspects of living by his violation of rights of the ecosystems within the larger ecosystem, biosphere. By being unjust over their ignorance on the use of the ecosystems within the largest ecosystem, the biosphere or earth, they are therefore shedding crocodile tears for the self-inflict problem threatening the existence of creatures particularly mankind. Until man gives the rights of each of the ecosystems to them, the synergetic activities of the ecosystems to have green environment shall be an impossible mission according to the book. Man seeks for his rights to life when he has failed to give rights of the other ecosystems around him. By the absence or fast degradation of the forests, direct sunlight dries the soil, exterminates fertility for farm practices, eliminates the soil animals and plants and the water sources are drying up not to talk of lakes which had been supporting the herdsmen and farmers in certain regions of the world. The high seas are drying as covers are fast disappearing by the greedy man, primitive and civilized. By the heat from the intensity of sunlight after the depletion of the ozone layers covering the sky, the water goes down to the watertable making water unavailable within a little distance from the top. By the testing of might with the missiles tests, the launch of nuclear weapons on seas, lands and air, the inability to plan water ways in preparation for unanticipated rainfall, the poor urban plans where drainages are channeled to run wastes water into the seas or rivers are adversely affecting the beneficial water for the development of the green environment. The shortage of green has pushed daredevil herders to take up arms against the farmers creating hostility and enmity between the nomads and the farmers. The perennial crisis has sent farmers out of business leading to food insufficiency. The plant and forest researchers have lesser places to find green for countless purpose to develop and impact lives of mankind and their domestic animals. In short, there must be green environment to have all the natural benefits back. Can the cycle be restored and the creatures start living a better life again? This is the mission of the author in putting a few things together to solve the crises that can lead to the world war. ‘Do you think this can lead to world war? Someone asked. Of course, the loss of fertile lands would open the room for shortage of food supplies, the dryness shall lead to water supplies deficits, the inadequate basic needs shall send people to seek greener pasture which has become a scarce commodity in the developed and the developing nations. Then, the superpowers would gang up against the poor nations with potentials of a few square kilometres of uncontaminated green by the gains from the hemispheric movement to and away from the sun. The resistance of the poor would result in war. Can we reverse the consequences? Of course, yes. The project ‘plant and nurture a tree’ shall save the world. by the simple manner by which the author scripted the work, the intellectual material shall open the eyes of the leaders and the followers into how to unite to end the possible ignition that can put the world on fire.
